Wedding discos are a high importance to any Wedding, as this type of event will either make or break the complete DJ. After a fully enjoyable day with a reception, where you have had speeches and great food, what better way to end a perfect day than with some dancing and great entertainment from a professional Disk Jockey.

Wedding Discos are always taken seriously by professional DJ's as the client has trusted them to keep the celebrations going long into the evening. The choice of DJ's for your wedding is important as the last thing a bride and groom want is a Disk Jockey that doesn't play a wide verity of music to cater for the wide age group of people who are present.

A wedding DJ should be dressed smartly, be professional on the microphone and know exactly what they are doing to enable the guests to have a night to remember. Many professional disco companies insist their DJ's are very experienced in this type of event. And usually you find the Disk Jockey presenting the evening will be an entertainer who has many years of experience under his belt. Prior to the big day it is important that the bride and groom speak with the DJ.

They should have discussed their first dance and times of the first dance, along with this they should be given the opportunity to supply the DJ with a request sheet of between 50 and 100 songs they feel are appropriate for the guests they have coming to their celebration. Many wedding parties now ask all their family and friends to nominate 1 song each to play. Some even include the question on their invites.

When selecting DJs for weddings you should consider the following before making a choice. How many weddings has the Disk Jockey done prior, have they got references from previous weddings which you can look at, what type of music they can play ( are they a specialist in only one style or decade or do they play a wide variety). What type of lighting and effects they have. The last thing you want on your special day is a DJ with just a couple of lights and light boxes. Ask if it's possible to have a meeting with the Disk Jockey, usually this is a good way to see if they are thinking on the same terms as you. Ask them for PAT Certificate and Public Liability Insurance so you can reassure the Venue that you are using a professional company.

Finding a DJ should be a job that is taken seriously. Visit wedding fares, look on the internet and talk to friends to find the perfect one and the best for your budget. Simply just don't pick the first one in the telephone book or go for the cheapest. Professional DJ's are not cheap and it goes like the saying 'you get what you pay for'. This is why it is recommended to spend as much as possible on your wedding entertainment. The last thing you want is a bad DJ to spoil a perfect day.
